I bought this, not knowing who it was modeled after. I only knew it was probably one of a kind (or near enough) and that I'd probably never see another. In scanning some photos to eventually be put up on the website, I came across a dark Polaroid with four mugs. I could identify three, but one was of the same face on the bust. The back of the photo was marked "Blake Mug" and signed by Jim, but Blake Who? Then I was scanning a contract with a Rumph border illustration and there were different little faces around the border, one was of William Blake, darn it if the sketch didn't look like the bust. A search of the web showed me a William Blake life mask that was nearly identical to the bust. Case solved.
